The short version: you can use this whole site without an account, and we are not in the business of collecting or selling your personal data. This page explains, in plain English, exactly what that means.
No account, no signup
Every core feature on GREMockTests, the mock tests, section practice, vocabulary, and the tools, works without registration. We do not ask for your name, email, phone number, or payment details to use the site, because none of that is required to give you a practice test and a score.
Your progress stays on your device
Things like your vocabulary set progress and any in-session answers are saved in your browser using local storage on the device you are using. That data lives on your computer or phone, not on our servers tied to an identity. Clearing your browser data resets it, and it does not follow you to another device.
AI scoring of essays
If you use the AWA essay grader, the essay text you submit is processed by an AI model to generate a score and feedback against the official rubric. It is used to produce your result, not to build a profile of you, and you do not need to identify yourself to use it. Do not paste sensitive personal information into the grader; it only needs your essay.
Analytics and cookies
We may use privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics to understand which pages are useful, for example how many people viewed a guide. Where used, this is measured in aggregate and is not used to identify you personally or to sell your data. We do not run advertising trackers, and we do not set non-essential marketing cookies.
Third parties
GREMockTests is independent and not affiliated with ETS. GRE is a registered trademark of ETS. We rely on a small number of infrastructure providers (such as hosting and the AI model that powers scoring) purely to operate the site. We do not sell, rent, or trade your data to anyone.
Your choices
